A 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Southwest China on Monday, May 12th. This tremor is estimated to have killed at least 14,866 people – and the number is expected to rise dramatically as rescue teams reach the most affected areas. Over 26,000 people are buried under the rubble of collapsed buildings in the cities near the earthquake’s epicenter, and it’s estimated that over 3.5 million houses have been destroyed.
Tens of thousands of people missing who might be struggling in the rubbles are waiting desperately for help to arrive; also tens of thousands of people injured are eagerly waiting for food, clean water, clothing, shelter supplies, and medicine. The Chinese rescue troops are risking their lives to save these people and more and more people are being rescued.
Please offer your help! Every penny will help! $5 alone could provide a homeless kid with a blanket from the cold night. $10 may provide the needed medicine to alleviate their pain and even save a person’s life. $50 will provide enough food for a family to sustain one month at this particular time. PLEASE SAVE THEM!!
Here we provide several ways to donate (attached, and also available at: http://csucssa.org/). Please select the most convenient way for you. Also, please ask your colleagues and friends for help. If available, please utilize the matching program in your company to double the donation.
The Chinese people sincerely appreciate your help!
