*****International Student Orientation*****
Arrival, Orientation & US Regulatory Information for staff, faculty and departments working with new arriving international students.

Every semester the Office of International Programs coordinates a comprehensive orientation program for new international students. It includes information on preparing for their academic experience, obtaining proper
documentation and travel papers, settling in to Fort Collins, and accessing university services.

All new international students are required to check in with the Office of International Programs upon arrival, and attend the MANDATORY 2-Day International Student Orientation Program taking place August 16-17, 2005
from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm in the Lory Student Center Cherokee Park Ballroom
.

This orientation provides students with important information related to the latest United States government regulations. We ask your assistance and support in communicating and reinforcing this vital information to our new arrivals, and in ensuring their participation.

During the week of our orientation program, we provide housing assistance, shopping trips, campus tours, evening social
activities, and 5-night temporary housing (NOTE: a Homestay Request must be made 2 weeks prior to need). Afternoons are kept open for students to meet with their academic advisors, search for housing, take placement tests, open
bank accounts or just familiarize themselves with Fort Collins.

**Orientations for new arriving International Scholars (researchers) are held every Thursday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in Laurel Hall.**

For details about resources and orientation and arrival services, please visit our website at

Thank you for your assistance. We look forward to working with you in making a smooth and successful transition for our international students and guests.

Regards,
Shawna Magtutu
