Tragedy strikes people every day in the world. We are sorry to see those who suffering from sicknesses and many other adversities. We got the news from the CSSA (Chinese Students & Scholars Association) at University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) that a Chinese girl has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML Type IV). She is a recent graduate of UCLA who also served on the CSSA-UCLA Committee, a bright, blossoming young girl in her pursuit of happiness, celebrating life and trying to fulfill her dreams. But her life took a tragic turn two days before this past Christmas: the doctors informed her that she has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), type IV, an unanticipated diagnosis that would forever change her life, and the lives of many others. We are still in shock, in disbelief, and we would rather think all of this is just a bad dream...
